about our orthodontic office
It is always our goal at Faber Orthodontics to offer our patients the very best orthodontic care in and the surrounding communities. We take pride in staying up-to-date with all modern orthodontic advancements, as well as continually working to further our education. Offering patients the most modern and effective solutions to their orthodontic needs is our goal.

We are proud to offer several different treatments and technologies for you to achieve a straight, flawless smile in a way that works for you. We will go over all of your options in order to help you make the best decision for you and your desired results. We also know how scary and anxiety-provoking it can be to have dental work done. Since most patients are uneasy about visiting, our staff makes sure to provide every patient with a kind and caring attitude. We are here to discuss any of your concerns, and we do our best to tailor every treatment to your needs, wants, and desired outcome.

We are here to answer any and all questions you may have, no matter how silly or simple you think they are. Orthodontia is not an easy practice to understand! For more information or to request an appointment, contact us today.

DR. BETH FABER

For the past 31 years, it has been my pleasure to work with so many people from my community to help them achieve lasting, beautiful smiles. I’ve loved getting to know my patients on a personal level while watching as their smiles and their personalities change. I cannot imagine another, more fulfilling profession than orthodontics.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
I completed my undergraduate studies at the College of William and Mary, where I graduated with a double major in Chemistry and Psychology. While in college, I was a competitive swimmer on the swim team and a member of the synchronized swim team. After college, I completed four years of dental school, graduating from the Medical College of Virginia with my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. From there, I chose to specialize in orthodontics and spent two years in advanced training in orthodontics. I received my Certificate and her Master’s Degree in Orthodontics from the University of Detroit.

After graduating, I spent a year an associate in a two-doctor practice in Toledo, Ohio. In 1986, I opened my own practice in Tappahannock, Virginia. Six years later, I opened our second office in Kilmarnock, Virginia.

Providing orthodontic care for both children and adults comes different rewards. I get to participate in my young patients’ development by playing an active role in developing their face and smile and in influencing the development of their self-esteem. It is my pleasure to experience these young people as they mature into young adults while in treatment.

Working with adult patients allows me to help them create a healthy bite and beautiful smile that they love to show off, as well as cultivating a personal relationship during this process. In both cases, seeing each patient finish treatment with a beautiful smile and a healthy bite, and seeing the pride and confidence that their new smile provides is my ultimate reward.

OUTSIDE THE OFFICE

Growing up, I lived in five different states before moving to Richmond when I was in high school. It was great to put down roots in the community, and I have lived in the area ever since.

When I’m not in the office, I enjoy reading and cooking. Cooking with my children and preparing their favorite dishes is a very special activity. Molasses cookies, brownies, and meatballs are just a few of my specialties. As a member of Fairmont Christian Church, I am active in both a women’s bible study and the Reflections of Him Sunday school class.

SANDY

Scheduling Coordinator

From our front desk, I am the first person you see when you arrive and the last smiling face you see when you leave. The best part of my job is seeing how happy our patients are when their braces are removed—they can’t stop smiling! I joined Dr. Faber’s team in 2021, and I am so glad to be apart of the team!

Outside the office, I am a grandmother of two– Alina and Joseph. I am also the Choir Director at Bethany Baptist Church. Some of my hobbies include singing, riding my horse, crocheting, gardening, and baking. When I am not doing that, I am spending all of my time with my family and friends.

SHIEKA

Clinical Assistant

I started at Faber Orthodontics as the Scheduling Coordinator. Over time, I grew an interest in the clinical side and decided to expand my knowledge and skills. Through recent training by Dr. Faber and her staff, I am now a Clinical Assistant.

I was born and raised in Florida and spent the most recent years on the West Coast. It wasn’t until two years ago that I moved to Virginia. Since then, I have loved living in the Northern Neck and there is nowhere else I would rather be. In my free time, I love to spend time with my kids on the beach or anywhere on the water, and I love to fish!

JEN

Clinical Assistant

I have more than 17 years of experience in the dental field and have assisted Dr. Faber as a clinical specialist since 2012. My goal is to ensure that everything in the clinical area runs smoothly so Dr. Faber can concentrate on what’s really important—our patients! I love making patients happy and being a positive influence in their lives.

I have a husband who is a builder/farmer from the area. We have two kids, Hunter and Jessa, and a farm with pigs, chickens, cows, and cats. I like to be outside, especially in the summertime. I love the river, paddle boarding, farming/gardening, spending time with family and friends, and eating!

KATHERINE

Insurance Coordinator

I help our patients with the financial aspects of their treatment, including creating payment plans that work within their budgets and coordinating insurance coverage. I enjoy knowing that I’ve played a role in helping people achieve their smile goals. Everyone in this office is dedicated to providing excellent patient care and is always ready to help when needed.

I am a mom of a busy fourteen-year-old named Lee. I have one cat that I love dearly and his name is Oobie. I love sweets, napping, reading, and being organized!
